Our private driver will pick you up from your accommodation or airport to start Tangier 8 Days Private Tour. Our first destination will be The Hercules Cave which represents the opening to the sea toward Europe. This opening is shaped as The Map of Africa. Then we will visit The Museum Kasbah, a Mediterranean Museum that was built in the 19th century.
At the end of the day, we will drive toward Chefchaouen, you will have dinner and spend the night in one of its luxurious hotels.
After breakfast, we will move from Chefchaouen and head toward Fez, via the city of Ouazzane to arrive at the Roman City, Volubilis, which is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After taking fantastic photos in this incredible city, we will continue to Meknes, the imperial city of Morocco. We will visit Bab Mansour Gate in the center of the city and Bab El-Khemiss Gate, then The Mellah of the Ancient Medina. At the end of the day, we will drive toward Fez where we will have dinner and spend the night.
This day is dedicated to the discovery of the spiritual and scientific city of Fez where gather the most important historical sites and places like Madrasa Attarine (Attarine School), Nejjarine Fountain, Quaraouine Mosque (1st university in the world), Royal Palace (and its famous golden gates), Tanneries… and many other. You will know more about them as follows:
Medina Fez El Bali (The Ancient Medina): It is the largest in Morocco, you will be excited to explore the ancient culture that gathers the Islamic and the Jewish religions and cultures.
Souk El Attarine: It is the souk of the grocers and the most colorful public market in Fez.
Nejjarine: This small square takes its name from the cabinetmakers who work the stalls in the neighborhood. A wonderful fountain made of Zellij (traditional mosaic) and a carved wooden pediment decorate the square.
The Quaraouine Mosque and University: Established in 862 by a Muslim woman named Fatima El Fihria from Quairaouan. It is the oldest university in the Arab Islamic world.
Moulay Idriss: Where there is the tomb of Moulay Idriss II, the founder of Fez. It represents a holy and sacred place in Fez.
Medersa (school) Bou Inania: It is an Islamic university built between 1350 and 1357 by the Merinid Sultan Abu Inane and whose architecture is one of the masterpieces of Moorish art.
Medersa (school) Attarine: It is a Koranic school built in 1323 by the Merinid sultan Abu Said whose decoration is of extreme finesse and attracts the visitors.
After breakfast, we will leave the hotel to head south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. arriving at the cedar forest and meeting the monkeys waiting at the side of the road to give them some poo, a short break to experience the life of wild Morocco. We start our journey to the Middle Atlas, its green valleys, and mountain panoramas.
We stop for lunch in a Berber village, then we continue the road through the villages to arrive at the dunes of Merzouga, the camels are waiting for us to start our walk in the desert. You will enjoy a beautiful sunset behind the dunes of Merzouga. At the arrival at the center of the dune, you prepare your business in the tents and after walking in the dunes and a silence that helps to relax after dinner and you will enjoy the traditional Berber music accommodation in the camp.
We will wake up early to watch the breathtaking sunrise in Merzouga, then have traditional local breakfast to start our day experiencing unique activities in the Moroccan Desert, starting with camel trekking, you will ride camels on the golden dunes of Erg-Chebbi; take outstanding photos, then try sand boarding as well. You will have fun with these activities before heading to the nomadic tent where you will have a local dinner in the nomadic tent, listen to some Gnawa music, then spend the night in the heart of the desert under the stars.
After breakfast, we will drive toward Dades Valley and Ouarzazate. Dades Valley is known as The Land of Thousand Kasbahs, which makes it a wonderful place that offers opportunities to take some of your best photos of the tour.
Heading to Ouarzazate, we will pass by Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco that was built by T-Hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chiefs of the early twentieth century, and considered one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Afterward, we will hit the road through the High Atlas Mountains, enjoying the panoramic view and the attractive Berber villages on the way to Marrakech, where you will have dinner and spend the night.
This day is dedicated to the discovery of The Red City, we will start by discovering The Menara gardens and the Koutoubia Mosque, or The Mosque of The Booksellers; this name was taken from its location on the ancient Souq of the manuscripts where the Tombs of the Saadians, are also located. After, we will head to The Medina where you can surf the busy streets and do some shopping if you want to get some souvenirs, then head to the famous Jamaa El Fna square that is consirwarddered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you will explore the storytellers, the snakes’ charmers, and the monkey players as well, additionally to having the chance to try the traditional restaurants.
We will have dinner and spend the night in a hotel in Marrakech.
On the last day of the Tangier 8 Days Private Tour, our private driver will drop you off at your accommodation or airport.
